Many of us adults in the congregation of Leesburg Presbyterian Church have been teachers and or lifelong learners. As a result we have much which we can share of the learning we have acquired from our life’s adventures on the road to salvation. As we travel this “upward way”, to borrow from an old Hymn, some of us in moments of reflection have also developed questions to which our own answers may be uncertain and we would like the opportunity to explore them to determine if we might not gain an answer with greater clarity.

Therefore, as the adult education coordinator I am reaching out to you, the members of the congregation, and I am asking each of you first, what are the topics which you would like to have the church explore in the coming year; second, are you willing to lead a class or a discussion group of your peers on a particular topic which you think would be of interest to other members of our congregation in an adult class on Sunday mornings from roughly 9:45 to 10:45.

Please send me an e-mail at jsawyer@lpcva.org with either your request for a class you would like to attend or a statement of what class you might be willing to lead or both. You can also stop me in the church halls or drop a note to the Church in care of my name and it will get to me. I thank you now and I know that many others will thank you too when they experience a class you suggested or you are leading. We do not teach by ourselves; it is the Holy Spirit which guides us and informs us as we stand humbly in the council of the Lord that we might stand boldly in the councils of our fellow men and women.
