Parsons’ Point of View

I want to welcome you as a visitor to our church web-site!  Whether you are seeking information about our congregation, or are just perusing it out of curiosity, I hope that in some way this site conveys the open hearts and open minds of this community of faith that is situated in the historic district of Leesburg.

After having lived and served in Texas for most of my life and ministry, I became the pastor of Leesburg Presbyterian Church nearly 3 years ago.  What I have discovered in this church is a gathering of folks of all ages, from all parts of our country, and at different stages in their faith journeys who have found "at home" in this 200 year old church.  What we have in common is a profound sense that somehow God has led us here, that in Jesus Christ there is joy and purpose and hope to be found, and that in the Holy Spirit, there is power that can transform our lives from despair to hope, from confusion to clarity, from loneliness to connectedness.

I warmly invite you to come to Leesburg Presbyterian Church to receive the joy and peace of God-becoming-One-with us in a bold and surprising way.
