Parsons’ Point of View

After having lived and served in Texas for most of my life and ministry, I became the pastor of Leesburg Presbyterian Church nearly two years ago.  What I have discovered in this church is a gathering of folks of all ages, from all parts of our country, and at different stages in their faith journeys who have felt "at home" in this 200 year old church.  What we have in common is a profound sense that somehow God has led us here, that in Jesus Christ there is joy and purpose and hope to be found, and that in the Holy Spirit, there is power that can transform our lives from despair to hope, from confusion to clarity, from loneliness to connectedness.

I hope you will be led to worship with us one Sabbath morning and experience a palpable sense of joy and gratitude of a people gathered to sing, to pray, to listen, and simply to bask in God's redemptive presence.  And then I hope you will leave feeling called and fed to be a follower of Jesus out into the world.
