This is truly a total community effort to make the holiday season
brighter for many in Loudoun County who do not have the resources to
purchase food and gifts fro their families. The Department of
Social Services works with Loudoun Interfaith Relief to coordinate
gifts of food, clothing, toys , and other items. Volunteers
are needed in the weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas to sort
items, pack boxes, stock food and toys, and help clients shop.
Groups within our church including the Deacons and Presbyterian
Women will sometimes have special projects to collect needed items.
Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older and are asked to
volunteer a few hours during the days before Thanksgiving and during
the first two weeks of December. Click
