Our Staff

Our Lord has provided each of us with a unique set of talents and He wants each of us to use these gifts to further His work in our world.  All current and future volunteer opportunities will be posted in this area - please check back periodically for new needs.

There are numerous volunteer opportunities both within our church as well as right here in Loudoun County.

The Mission & Witness Committee would like to encourage all members to volunteer in the community using their God-given skills and talents to help others outside of our church.  Please consider this as only a guide to begin volunteering.  The Loudoun County Office of Volunteer Services (703-777-0113) can provide a more complete and always current list of volunteer opportunities and can answer questions that you may have about individual organizations..

Please contact Kathi Stone (kstone@lpcva.org) if you have any suggestions regarding new volunteer opportunities.  We would love to hear from you about the work you may be doing in the community.

TWO HOUR MISSION OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY IN LEESBURG, FALL 2011

Do you have just two hours to spare on occasional Sunday afternoons, from 2:30 - 4:30? One time only or help as often as you like. Volunteers with the Grace-to-Go Feeding Ministry, organized by St. James Episcopal Church, cook a simple meal at the Deli South restaurant in Leesburg and then package the meals for distribution on Monday. LPC participants have found it to be a very simple way to help provide a healthy meal to the working poor and others in need within our community. LPC and the Rotary Club have joined together to prepare the meal in the first Sunday of the Month. LPC has committed to 6 Sundays/Mondays in 2012 starting with January 8 and March 4. Until then, you will be able to volunteer with other churches to become familiar with the process. If you feel called to care for God's people in this way, contact Kathi Stone (kstone@lpcva.org).

Tyler Brown, son and Kathy and Brad Brown, is the Farm Manager at RFF and will direct several types of volunteer work projects on Saturday, October 15. Volunteers who wish to carpool/caravan will meet at LPC at 7 am for a 7:15 departure.

The day's projects around the farm may include planting, weeding, invasive species removal, compost spreading, bed preparation and lots more. Families are welcome. Plan to bring a water bottle, wear closed toed shoes, and come dressed to work. Brownbag lunch will be at noon.
